Barrel cushions are U-shaped or half-cylinder rubber or elastomer inserts that fit inside a metal strut clamp (like a U-bolt or clamp block) to:

• Protect cables, conduit, or fiber bundles from abrasion

• Dampen vibration in AV, telecom, or low-voltage installs

• Secure round objects like cable trays, barrels, or conduit inside metal framing systems

They’re designed to cradle the “barrel” (circular surface) of a pipe, fiber duct, or cable when mounted to a strut channel.
